I am an American citizen with Mexican roots. I am fortunate to enjoy the best of both the United States and Mexico. I know both countries and their cultures well, and I feel great respect for both nations.
People who know me say I have a natural gift for socializing, and my professional strength has always been sales.
In my 30s, I was a young American working hard to live well in the United States, with long daily work hours to achieve my goal of buying an apartment building I had already identified. Until one day, Hurricane Wilma hit Mexico hard, specifically the Quintana Roo area. Because of Wilma, I met the woman who is now my wife, who came from Cancun. I visited, confirmed it was paradise, and today, 20 years later, I live in Cancun.
I professionally sell properties in the area: houses and apartments that I would love to show you if you're looking for an investment with a quick and safe return. Although I must confess that my hobby is being a host to visitors, and fortunately I can combine both.

Pedestrian crossings
In Cancun, pedestrian right-of-way is not always respected like in the United States. Even if you see yellow crosswalk lines, cars won't necessarily stop. For your safety, preferably cross where there's a traffic light.

Some tourist spots, like certain archaeological sites, may not accept card payments. Carrying cash can save you stress, wasted time, and unnecessary trips.
Extreme heat
If you visit ruins or outdoor activities in summer, prepare for intense heat. Use sunscreen, a hat, light clothing, and bring plenty of water to avoid heat stroke.
